03 Dec SPUIC Students Experience Korean Culture Up Close at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea
Sripatum University International College (SPUIC) students had an unforgettable cultural immersion during a special study visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangkok. The program offered a unique blend of academic enrichment, cultural appreciation, and hands-on learning.
The visit began with a warm welcome and an inspiring lecture from H.E. Ambassador Kim Namhyeok, who shared valuable insights on Korea–Thailand relations, global cooperation, and opportunities for young learners in today’s interconnected world. Students gained fresh perspectives that will support their international academic and career development.
The experience continued with a captivating traditional Korean performance, which showcased the elegance, rhythm, and artistry of Korean cultural heritage. Students were amazed by the expressive movements, music, and storytelling embedded in the show.
One of the highlights of the day was the Korean Culture Workshop, where students actively participated in a series of creative activities. They enjoyed:
- Crafting personalized Korean keychains
- Exploring the art of traditional Korean knot-tying
- Making colorful lanterns
- Dressing in beautiful Hanbok and capturing memorable photos
The workshop brought learning to life, allowing students to connect with Korean traditions in an engaging and meaningful way.
This study trip was the perfect combination of cultural discovery and fun, creating lasting memories and strengthening SPUIC’s commitment to global learning experiences.
