SPUIC Students Showcase Global Event Management Expertise Through Grand 4-Culture Wedding Series

SPUIC students under the courses BBM345 Venue Management and BBM347 Event Management Project, have created a masterpiece through a “Wedding Ceremony Demonstration” project. This was more than just a classroom assignment; it was a real hands-on experience where students had the opportunity to plan and execute an actual event from start to finish. The project reflected their creativity, leadership, and teamwork, turning their vision into a full-scale celebration

The journey of this event series was divided into 4 distinct and culturally rich themes:

  • Thai Wedding Ceremony: The series began with a demonstration led by the student team, transforming their initial ideas and determination into an inspiring real-world celebration. Every detail of the ceremony reflected their ability to bring a creative vision to life

  • Indian Wedding Ceremony: Building on their initial success, students showcased the vibrant and complex elegance of an Indian wedding. This project served as a testament to their Strategic Planning skills and Cultural Intelligence (CQ), as they successfully navigated and honored authentic cultural elements within a global business context

  • Modern Christian Wedding: For the third installment, students redefined serene elegance through a “Modern Christian Wedding”. This phase focused on Strategic Concept Design, applying creative frameworks to deliver cohesive themes while managing world-class productions from start to finish

  • Modern Chinese Heritage (The Grand Finale): The journey reached its peak with a finale that combined “Ancient Legacy” and “Modern Luxury”. Students acted as “Cultural Architects,” reengineering traditional elements like the Double Happiness (囍) symbol and the Tea Ceremony into a modern luxury experience. This required Precision Planning to balance complex rituals with world-class logistics.

The success of these four themes proves that at SPUIC, classroom theory is transformed into world-class practice. Students are not just studying events; they are creating masterpieces and preparing to lead the future of the global event industry
